Luxury vinyl plank is forgiving to walk on and unforgiving about what sits underneath it. A slab with a dip, a wood subfloor with a squeak, or leftover adhesive from the last floor will all show up later as movement, gaps or a hollow sound in one corner of the room.
So the install starts with the substrate. We take the old flooring down to something sound, check it for flatness, and correct what is out before the first plank goes in. It is the least visible part of the job and the one that decides how the floor feels in three years.
